South Side Growth Campus Project
The South Side Community Growth Foundation has acquired the former Bishop Foery Center and surrounding campus located on Edmund Avenue (map), and plans to redevelop the center into a vibrant, neighbor-centered property. The space will be designed with significant input from Southside neighbors and will re-establish the building as a place that is known for community connection.
Through early conversations we’ve had with neighbors, one community desire emerged loud and clear: residents want a shared space where they can gather, learn and grow.
As our first major investment into the Southside, we are committed to developing this project and all its phases in partnership with neighborhood residents. See our press release for more information, and continue to check this page for future project updates.

South Side Growth Summer Kick Off
Day: Wednesday July 1
Time: 1-4 p.m.
Location: McKinley Park
School’s out, summer is in!
Join us for the South Side Growth Summer Kick Off on July 1, from 1–4 PM at McKinley Park for an afternoon of food, fun, and community! Families can enjoy a community cookout, connect with local organizations, and take part in our Youth Summer Play Giveaway, featuring outdoor play kits, beach towels, and limited-quantity swimsuits for youth ages 1–12.
This event is free and open to the community. Come celebrate the start of summer with your neighbors and kick off the season with a splash!
