Chedy Hampson is a business leader, philanthropist, and native of Syracuse’s South Side. He grew up on Kenmore Avenue where he played in McKinley Park and graduated from Corcoran High School. The Syracuse community has always been important to Chedy. He started his company, TCGplayer, in Downtown Syracuse, and continues to call Central New York home.

Over 25 years, Chedy grew TCGplayer into a successful online marketplace, and one of the top companies to work for in Syracuse. In 2022, Chedy sold TCGplayer to eBay. After selling the company, Chedy felt called to support the South Side neighborhood that gave him so much.

Chedy is passionate about serving the South Side community, especially with affordable housing, childcare, youth programming, and transportation. He decided the most effective way for him to give back was to use his own funds to start a nonprofit to support the community.
